Sustainable travel: how do you do it? And perhaps even more important: is it really possible? Making travel is becoming more and more popular. At the same time, however, there is a growing awareness that travel is not without its consequences. Air travel causes high CO2 emissions and tourism has many consequences for local culture and nature.
What is sustainable travel?
For us, sustainable travel means making conscious choices, being mindful of nature, taking the environment into account as much as possible and minimizing the impact on the local population. Call it sustainable travel, responsible travel, conscious travel or travel with a minimal footprint.
What do we do?
For a year now, the chalets de la Madeleine have been engaged in an eco-responsible approach.
Here are the actions on which we have invested ourselves.
Changing traditional light bulbs by low consumption or LEDs
Presence detector for luminaires in common areas
Presence detector on car park luminaires
Installation of mousseur on the taps of the dwellings
Installation of mixer taps on all the taps of the apartments.
Use of Ecolabel products by our cleaning team
Implementation of selective waste sorting
Working with local actors on the food front
Raising staff awareness on eco-citizen actions
Setting up a digital press
There is still a lot of work to be done!
Perhaps you have other suggestions, please let the Chalets de la Madeleine team benefit from them.
Thank you
